The Communications Trainer (Fleetcomms) from DTM Global is a fully adaptable PC based simulator that has been designed to create a system specific communication training environment.
DTM’s Fleetcomms Trainer is a software training system designed to emulate real time radio voice communications using voice-over-IP (VOIP) technology.
Fleetcomms uses several PC’s and a local area network to replicate a variety of real world communication systems. A primary PC is used as a server and instructor console that will monitor and control all other users. It has a built-in generic user interface suitable for procedures training or a custom device interface can be added for realistic in the field simulation. Several different circuit configurations can be simulated from simple one-to-one links to complex many-to-many links with priority override. There is support for push-to-transmit through the PC’s user interface or through a hardwired switch. Audio data is compressed to minimise the impact on the network infrastructure
Key features of DTM Global’s Communications Trainer:
• PC based Voice over Internet Protocol communications simulation with localised instructor and student positions
• Users can replicate the external and internal communications, including voice and data, between different platforms
• Purpose built customized Graphics User Interface
• Student and Instructor Touch Screen User Interface
• Support for multiple types of communication systems (voice and data) on one network
• Students can communicate with each other over any of the radios or data channels providing they are within range, on the same channel and with same crypto
• A student can call an instructor during the simulation to ask for assistance; when the call is answered by the instructor a private connection is made
• Different circuit configurations can be used to simulate a range of situations
• Simple one-to-one links, to Complex many-to-many links with priority override
• Monitor multiple channels simultaneously
• Can record all transmissions on system and display them on a time-line
• Noise simulation
• Utilizes Intercom, HF, VHF, UHF, TAC and RT Channels
• Instructor Facility to modify channel/frequency labelling

Basic training in the recognition of friendly and hostile platforms.
Role specific training, such as within electronic warfare, commander control, air defence, special forces, intelligence organisations and training centres.
Theatre specific pre-deployment training, such as peace keeping and coalition operations.
Multimedia library of 3D models, multispectral images, movies, sound and data on aircraft platforms, land platforms, sea platforms, weapons and emitters, with supporting data in multilingual formats.
Features:
Integrated courseware generation tools for the creation of instructor or student-led lessons and test.
Embedded learning management system for tracking individual and collective training results and standards.
Tools to edit 3D model textures and features.
Tools to create 3D vignettes, to provide recognition training of moving targets.
All libraries are end user updatable, allowing end users to update data, media and courseware.
Teach Flight Deck Officers correct marshalling and deck handling procedures, on ships and offshore oil & gas platforms, using the Fleetman Flight Deck Officer Trainer.
Based on the proven Fleetman family of computer based trainers from DTM Global, the Fleetman Flight Deck Officer Trainer system uses a high quality virtual reality system to give the flight deck officer a realistic view of approaching helicopters and vertical or short take off.
Conduct training for single spot and multi-spot helicopter operations.
Utilises commercial-off-the-shelf hardware for cost effective training.
Highly deployable.
Customisable to end-users requirements in terms of helicopters and ships.
Simple to use and to train with.
Interpret and respond to ship and aircraft operating limits within variable sea states, weather and time-of-day.
Identify and respond to correct standard emergency procedures and pilot's visual signals.
Interact with relevant ships equipment that is visible to the flight deck officer.
Introducing the Portable Fire Control Trainer™, an
innovative solution that empowers you to train and utilise
the system wherever you go. This ruggedised solution
guarantees performance, even in challenging environments,
as it boasts water-resistant properties. Housed within a
secure and compact Peli case, your equipment remains
protected at all times.
Despite its portable design, the Portable Fire Control
Trainer™ maintains the military-specific hardware that
characterises our offerings. The differentiating factor lies in
its lightweight construction, optimised for effortless
transportation. This means you can still count on the same
exceptional training experience, now with the added
convenience of mobility.
Fire Control Trainer allows instructors to fully control their exercise in a classroom or a standalone setting. This fully networked software kit will allow students to train together in real-time. Other tools Fire Control Trainer is equipped with are:
• Real-time management of the exercise and application of the weapon crew faults to the gun mount
• Full control of environmental conditions including wind speed and direction, tidal stream, sea state, visibility in fog or haze, rain, and cloud cover
• Exercise configuration and runtime control
• Introduction and manipulation of multiple targets (air and surface) into the scenario
• Ability to save exercises
• Full object manoeuvring control
• Insertion of Fire Control Trainer breakdowns/failures
• Authoring of simulation exercise scenarios
Experience the versatility of Fire Control Trainer™ across
multiple configurations, tailored to meet your needs:
• Classroom Students & Instructor Setup: Facilitate
collaborative learning, allowing both students and
instructors to engage effectively.
• Standalone Setup: For scenarios requiring individualised
training, this offers a focused environment.
While Fire Control Trainer™ comes equipped with our off-
the-shelf Fleetman™ software, we understand that each
scenario is unique; that's why we offer customisation
options, allowing you to configure Fleetman™ precisely
according to your requirements
The systems utilise modern day hardware with a minimum
specification of:
Windows 10 Pro,
Nvidia RTX 2060 (or better) graphics,
Intel i5/Ryzen 5 processor,
16GB DDR4 RAM.
• Full pre-mission setup of the weapon system
• Practice of deliberate firings and implementation of full peacetime safety requirements
• Ability to monitor students’ response to Command and Control orders • Ship manoeuvrability to open/close weapon arcs
• Input of faults on the weapon system (safety catch, load, crew safety switch)
• Ability to modify and implement automated search patterns
• Practice procedures (force protection, constabulary ops, warning shots)
Fire Control Trainer is a simulator for MSI-Defence Systems Automated Small Calibre Gun (ASCG) -DS30M (Seahawk A2). This simulator is layered onto thr existing Fleetman engine which gives the perfect maritime simulation backbone needed to make this software perfect for training.
The Fire Control Trainer™ provides an immersive training
experience through two primary views: the control panel
and the EOD display. These interfaces allow precise control
over various aspects of the simulated weapon system.
Moreover, our advanced Fleetman™ software enables you
to replicate numerous scenarios by adjusting elements such
as:
• Varied weather conditions
• Time settings
• Weapon States
• Sea states, and more.
What sets the Fire Control Trainer™ apart is its
comprehensive networking capability. The hardware is built
with specialised military-grade components that offer a
tactile familiarity, ensuring seamless transition to real-world
deployment. This synergy between hardware and software
guarantees a training experience that mirrors actual
operational conditions.
